Skin aging is due to the majority contribution of two factors: on the one hand, chronic aging associated with time, and on the other hand, the commonly so called photoaging caused by UV exposition. Rhassoul Clay

Resume:

The current work concerns clay of Moroccan origin, traditionally called “Rhassoul” (or Ghassoul), used for centuries in various cosmetics (care capillary and body...). In Moroccan Arabic dialect Rhas-soul means “the one which washes”. It is characterized by its absorbing and cleaning properties. It has been used for a long time as a natural shampoo or a product for washing Rhassoul not only absorbs and removes impurities but did so without any damage to the hair.

Neroli Water

Neroli water is obtained from the steam distillation of the orange blossom flowers in the production of the essential oil.

 

Resume:

The present randomized controlled trial (see study) showed that inhalation of neroli oil by postmenopausal women improved their quality of life related to menopausal symptoms, increased sexual desire, and reduced blood pressure. In addition, inhalation of neroli oil may reduce stress levels and stimulate the endocrine system. These findings indicate that neroli oil can be used to relieve various symptoms related to menopause.

The anti-inflammatory effect

This plant has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory effect (85). The effect of essential oil and hydroalcoholic extract of R. damascena on rat paw edema induced by carrageenan was demonstrated. Essential oil had no anti-inflammatory effect while the extract could significantly reduce edema which maybe acted by inhibiting the mediators of acuteinflammation (85,86). In addition, R. damascena contains vitamin C (13) which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects (50,86).

Plant oils have been utilized for a variety of purposes throughout history, with their integration into foods, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products. They are now being increasingly recognized for their effects on both skin diseases and the restoration of cutaneous homeostasis. This article briefly reviews the available data on biological influences of topical skin applications of some plant oils (olive oil, olive pomace oil, sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, safflower seed oil, argan oil, soybean oil, peanut oil, sesame oil, avocado oil, borage oil, jojoba oil, oat oil, pomegranate seed oil, almond oil, bitter apricot oil, rose hip oil, German chamomile oil, and shea butter).
